Open Practice
Come spend the afternoon practicing, experimenting, and connecting with other
members of the Salon community.
Open Practice is an informal, self-directed practice session where you can work on
whatever you’re currently exploring. Use this time to refine class material, revisit a
harness, experiment with something new, or simply get more rope time in.
This is not a formal class, and no new curriculum will be taught. Instructors and
experienced members will be present, but the focus is on independent practice
rather than structured instruction.
Students who are ready to advance may also use Open Practice to complete
level testing. If you would like to test for your next level, please come prepared to
demonstrate the required curriculum and let an instructor know when you arrive.
Not sure what to work on? You’re welcome to revisit material appropriate to your
current skill level, ask questions, troubleshoot, socialize, or simply spend time in the
space.
Open Practice is by RSVP only.
Please note: A special POETS Party will follow from 8:00 PM – 1:00 AM. Registration
for Open Practice and the POETS Party is separate; guests wishing to attend both
must register for each event individually.
