Beyond Intro: Exploring Rope is a playful continuation of our ‘Intro to Rope’ class for anyone who wants to keep exploring before moving into a structured levels program.
Each class introduces a small selection of simple, accessible ties designed to build confidence, encourage creativity, and give you more opportunities to play with rope. The material changes from session to session, so you can return more than once and continue adding to your rope vocabulary.
This class sits outside of the Salon’s formal levels curriculum and is open to students of all experience levels.
Each session includes guided instruction followed by time to revisit the material, experiment, and explore the ties in your own way.
What to Expect
Each class includes:
- Three to four ties
- An instructor and demonstration partner to guide the material and answer questions
- Time to practice and refine each tie
- A creative session where you can explore the material independently
Students are welcome to attend solo or with a partner. Some material may be self-tie friendly, while other exercises may involve working with another person. Solo students are welcome to pair with others where everyone is comfortable doing so.
Bring your own rope if you have it. If not, the Salon has house rope available for students to use during class.
No previous experience beyond ‘Intro to Rope’ is required. And that's only a recommendation
