Workshop is 4 hours in duration.
Prerequisites: have taken floor work 101 in either 2024 or 2025 by JonTheRigger at Toronto Kinbaku Salon. Plus able to tie a TK, any TK, proficiently. Or someone who has been tying consistently over a year or more with an excellent proficiency in tying a well structured TK, and demonstrates proficiency in rope handling and are interested to apply movements in tying. This is a workshop for intermediate and above levels.
In this workshop, we will build on top of floor work 101 in 2024 or 2025, and focus on tying with your model standing up mostly with movements while tying. We will warm up with a hitch exercise. Introduce some techniques in movement and apply the movements in tying this structure. We will explore in both free form tying and tying a structure upper body harness like a TK.
Movement is not just about physically moving your rope partner. If it is applied with consideration and understanding, knowing when and how, it will have a deep emotional impact that enhances the connection to your partner and to the rope scene.
